Business law
DENVER, COLORADO SMALL BUSINESS LAWYER.
MY BACKGROUND.
I have been practicing law for more than thirty-five (35) years, I am an Inactive CPA, and I have a 5-star Rating. I have been involved in helping hundreds of small businesses with a myriad of legal matters.
I represent limited liability companies, corporations, sole proprietorships, and partnerships, with the vast majority of entities choosing to be limited liability companies.
I represent small (relative term haha) businesses and mid-size businesses rather than large businesses. Large businesses hire large law firms to represent them. Large businesses would overwhelm me since I am a sole proprietor.
I will serve as your part-time “general counsel.” This means you have my legal expertise you need it, without me being a full-time employee, which would require substantially higher compensation than my compensation based upon my hourly rate when needed.
One thing that I am is that I am very practical. I will provide you with good, sound legal advice, which is also practical advice.
I think you will like working with me. I am very diligent, and respond quickly to emails, and answer my own phone.
HOW I WILL HELP YOU.
I will be able to help you with many of your legal issues. Some issues, discussed below, require specific legal knowledge not within my background.

SPECIALIZED AREAS OF THE LAW IN WHICH I DO NOT PRACTICE.
Some areas of the law for businesses are specialized and I do not practice in them. Some examples are intellectual property: copyrights; trade names; and trademarks; and securities laws. Certain areas of employment law, such as discrimination claims, are also specialized and I do not practice in those specialized areas.
For those specialized areas of the law, I will help you find a good attorney to help you.
MY CHARGE.
For my attorney fees, your options are (1) to pay me a monthly retainer or (2) to pay me my hourly rate, broken down into 6 minute increments, as you need my services.
My experience is that you and I will both be happier with an hourly rate. If we agree upon a monthly rate and you do not need me, you will not be happy paying money to me when I perform no services. If you require a substantial amount of my time, way above the number of hours computed by the retainer amount divided by my hourly rate, I will be unhappy.
We both want to be happy.
CALL ME.
If you are looking for help with your business, please call me at 303-782-4900 and we will discuss your situation. If I am unable to help you for any reason, I will help you find an attorney who will help you.
